Red and Pink for Spring

There is one spring trend that really surprised me, but one that I fell head over heels in love with. I am sure you can guess it by the picture above. In case you need help – it’s red and pink together! I remember when mixing these two colors used to be a fashion faux pas. Then in 2011, Sarah Jessica Parker threw everyone when she wore pink pants with a flame red blouse! Of course she killed it and it was acceptable because who questions Carrie Bradshaw? No one. Fast forward a few years and red and pink are all over the runways being featured by the best designers. Red and pink can be such bold colors on their own, but somehow can also go beautifully together.

Red and pink is a trend that I think is pretty easy to pull off. There are so many options now. You can buy a top or dress that already has both red and pink combined or you can wear different pieces together. A red outfit with pink accessories would be adorable! Or flip it and have a pink outfit with red accessories! Add a pink blazer to a red top with jeans and you have a perfect spring look. My favorite outfit from the runway is a floor length bright red skirt paired with a pink sleeveless turtle-neck. I would wear this look everyday if I could.

This is my version of mixing red and pink with a few fun items I picked up at Nordstrom’s and ShopBop.

I did some leg work for you and found tons of options to pull off the red and pink trend for spring:

This is my last post in my ‘spring trends I can’t live without’ series (see other posts here, here and here). I hope you have been following along and enjoyed my favorite trends so far this year! This was so much fun as now I have a closet full of the best spring trends! What is your favorite spring trend?!

The tie part was my favorite!! It can even wrap around to tie in the front if you want! It’s a really versatile shirt! I played with it to make it longer too which works depending on what type of pants you wear. So glad you liked it! xo

OMG I am OBSESSED with wrapped tops lately, and that one is gorgeous! Plus it carries the balloon-sleeve trend nicely into warm weather. Love it!!
