Friday Favorites

Did this week fly by for anyone? I honestly don’t know where the days go anymore. It’s a constant whirlwind of meals, cleaning and cooking. If you were following on Instagram stories, you saw I took a family trip over to Bonita Springs, Florida. I literally have zero Instagram worthy pictures so you won’t be seeing anything in my feed showing me lounging by the pool in a dress or posing by the hotel’s waterfall (even though I tried). We did have a great time relaxing by the pool and catching up on reading while Andrew napped. Well – I caught up on reading and my husband caught up on ‘Better Call Saul’.

Since it’s Friday, I have rounded up a few of my favorites for the week! Enjoy!

Target and Old Navy Tanks

With the warm weather in Florida, I am already getting my summer clothes together. I recently picked up some tank tops from both Target and Old Navy. They are so reasonable and perfect for every occasion! I have worn one of them every day this week. I rotate them from layering tanks to wearing them alone with my white distressed denim or my floral shorts! I linked a few, but they come in many other colors.

What I am Reading

If you have been following along, you may remember one of my New Years Resolutions was to read more! The only book I have read so far this year was Julia Child’s Kitchen Wisdom. While I loved it, it’s really not the exact type of book I had in mind when setting my resolutions. I finally started a new book this week that is a very light read and provides for some laughs – You’ll Grow Out of It. If you need a good laugh or just something easy to read at night, I recommend this book! It was so easy to read a quick chapter right before falling asleep. I love dramas and intense stories, but sometimes they aren’t the easiest to read right before bed.

Healthy Snack

I have been tracking my macros intake (carbs, protein and fat) over the last six months to help lose all the baby weight. In order to follow this diet, I have to eat so much more protein than I ever did in the past. My favorite snack to help curb my hunger and add a ton of protein has been Quest Bars. I have to eat one a day. There are so many flavors to chose from and sometimes they take the place of a dessert. I would say that Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Blueberry Muffin are my favorites!
